Insert Images and Media
Add images, animated GIFs, and video to an Edition by placing assets from the media library into your content. This keeps files hosted centrally so they load reliably for every subscriber.
Before you begin
- Open the Edition you want to edit, in the Folder where it lives.
- Have your image or GIF ready (common web formats such as JPG, PNG, and GIF work best). Keep file sizes small so emails load quickly.
- For video, have the hosting URL or landing page you want subscribers to open. Most email clients do not play embedded video, so a clickable poster image that links out is the reliable approach.
- Know where the media library opens in your editor (confirm the exact steps in your account).
Steps
- In the Edition, place your cursor where the media should appear, or select the image content block.
- Open the media library from the editor toolbar.
- Upload a new file or pick an existing asset from the library.
- Insert the asset into the Edition. For a GIF, insert it the same way as a static image.
- Add descriptive alt text so the image is accessible and still communicates when images are blocked.
- For video, insert a poster image, then link it to your video URL or a landing page that hosts the player.
- Resize or align the asset to fit your layout, then save the Edition.
Result
The image, GIF, or video poster appears inline in the Edition. Send yourself a test to confirm it renders and links correctly across your main email clients before you schedule the Broadcast.
