Save an Edition as a Reusable Template

Turn a finished Edition into a template you and your team can reuse. Saving a template captures the layout, styling, and reusable blocks of a polished Edition so future Editions start from a consistent, on-brand foundation instead of a blank page.

Before you begin

  • Finish and proof the Edition you want to reuse. The template inherits its structure, so start from a clean, well-organized layout.
  • Remove content that is specific to a single Broadcast — dated copy, one-off images, or campaign-only links. Keep the reusable scaffolding (header, footer, section blocks).
  • Confirm you have permission to create shared templates. Some accounts restrict template creation to admins (confirm the exact permissions in your account).
  • Decide where the template should live so your team can find it later.

Steps

  1. Open the finished Edition in the editor.
  2. From the Edition's actions or options menu, choose to save it as a template (confirm the exact menu label in your account).
  3. Give the template a clear, descriptive name (for example, "Monthly Newsletter — Base") so colleagues recognize its purpose.
  4. Choose whether the template is personal or shared with your team, and select the Folder or template library where it should be stored.
  5. Review any personalization tokens in the layout so they carry over correctly, then save.

Result

The template appears in your template library and can be selected as the starting point when you create a new Edition. Create a test Edition from it to confirm the layout, styling, and reusable blocks all carry over as expected.
