Create an SMS business card
An SMS business card is a short, reusable block of sender details — organization name, a reply or callback number, and a way to opt out — that you attach to outgoing texts so subscribers instantly recognize who is messaging them. Building it once means every Author can drop the same, compliant identity into any SMS Broadcast.
Before you begin
- Confirm your account has SMS sending enabled and at least one approved sending number or short code.
- Gather the details subscribers should see: your organization's display name, a reply/help number, and standard opt-out wording (for example, "Reply STOP to unsubscribe").
- Keep it short. SMS segments are limited, so a business card usually spans one to two lines.
- Decide whether the card should be shared account-wide or scoped to a Folder (confirm the exact steps in your account).
Steps
- Open the SMS area and go to where reusable content or sender profiles are managed (confirm the exact steps in your account).
- Create a new business card and give it a clear internal name (for example, "Support team card") so Authors can find it later.
- Enter the sender name and reply/help number exactly as they should appear to subscribers.
- Add your required legal and opt-out text, such as help and STOP instructions.
- Insert any personalization tokens you want, then save the card.
- Send a test message to your own phone and verify the wording, number, and opt-out line render correctly.
Result
The business card is saved and available to insert into SMS Editions. When an Author attaches it, outgoing texts carry consistent sender identification and opt-out language, and any future edit to the card can propagate to messages that reference it.
