Manage your suppression list

The suppression list is the account-wide record of subscriber addresses that are automatically excluded from every future Broadcast. Addresses land here from hard bounces, spam complaints, and unsubscribes so you never re-mail someone who should not be contacted. Suppression protects your sending reputation and deliverability, so most entries are meant to stay in place.

Before you begin

  • Confirm you have an admin role, since suppression is managed at the account level rather than per Folder or Edition.
  • Understand that suppression is separate from a subscriber being inactive or removed from a single audience — it blocks sending across the whole account.
  • Know the reason you are looking for (bounce, complaint, or unsubscribe), as this is usually the most useful way to filter. (confirm the exact steps in your account)

Steps

  1. Open the account or deliverability administration area and select the suppression list.
  2. Search by full or partial email address to check whether a specific subscriber is suppressed.
  3. Filter by suppression reason (for example hard bounce, complaint, or unsubscribe) to review a category of entries.
  4. Export the current or filtered view to a file if you need an offline record or want to share it for an audit.
  5. Only remove an address if you are certain the original reason no longer applies and you have the subscriber's consent — removing a genuinely bad address can harm deliverability. (confirm the exact steps in your account)

Result

You can locate any suppressed address, understand why it was excluded, and produce an export for reporting or compliance. Suppressed subscribers remain excluded from all future Broadcasts until you deliberately remove them.
