Connect your Magento store
Connecting Magento lets you sync customer profiles and order history into your platform, so subscribers land in the right audiences and Authors can personalize Editions with store data (recent purchases, order status, loyalty tier).
Before you begin
- Admin access to both this platform and your Magento Admin panel.
- A Magento integration set up under System > Integrations, with API access to customers, orders, and (optionally) products.
- The Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token, and Access Token Secret generated when you activate that integration.
- Your Magento base URL (for example,
https://store.example.com). - Agreement on which customer fields map to your subscriber fields (email, name, and any custom attributes). (confirm the exact field names in your account)
Steps
- In this platform, open the integrations area and choose to add a new Magento connection. (confirm the exact steps in your account)
- Enter your Magento base URL and paste the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token, and Access Token Secret.
- Authorize the connection and wait for it to report a successful handshake.
- Map Magento customer fields to your subscriber fields, making sure email is mapped as the unique key.
- Choose what to sync (customers, orders, products) and set the sync frequency or trigger an initial import.
- Optionally route incoming customers into a specific audience or Folder so new subscribers are organized automatically.
- Save the connection and run a test sync with a small batch first.
Result
The connection status shows as connected and your first sync completes without errors. Synced customers appear as subscribers, and their order data is available as personalization tokens Authors can insert into an Edition before a Broadcast.
