Add a Survey to an Edition
Add an interactive survey to an Edition so subscribers can answer questions directly inside the email — no extra clicks to a separate page. Responses are captured against each subscriber and roll up into your survey reporting.
Before you begin
- You have an Edition open in the editor, or a Folder where you can create one.
- You know which questions you want to ask and their answer types (single choice, multiple choice, rating, or free text).
- You have permission to author interactive content in your account. (Confirm the exact permission and menu in your account.)
- If you want responses tied to known subscribers, make sure the Edition is sent as a Broadcast to your subscriber list rather than shared as an anonymous link.
Steps
- Open the Edition and place your cursor where the survey should appear in the layout.
- Insert a survey element from the interactive content options in the editor toolbar. (Confirm the exact element name and toolbar location in your account.)
- Add your first question, then choose its answer type (for example, single choice or rating).
- Enter the answer options, and mark the question required if a response is mandatory.
- Repeat to add each additional question, keeping the survey short to improve completion rates.
- Adjust styling — labels, button text, and colors — so the survey matches the rest of the Edition.
- Send yourself a test to confirm the questions render and submit correctly on desktop and mobile.
- Save the Edition. When you send it as a Broadcast, responses begin collecting automatically.
Result
The survey appears inline in the delivered email. As subscribers answer, their responses are recorded and become available in your survey reporting, where you can review results per question.
