Add a Personalized Image to an Edition
A personalized image renders differently for each subscriber at the moment they open your Broadcast. The image is driven by data you already hold about the subscriber (name, tier, points balance, appointment date) or by a live signal such as the time or place of the open. This lets one image in one Edition show a unique result to everyone who receives it.
Before you begin
- An Edition open in the editor, in the Folder where you want to work.
- The personalized image asset created and available in your account (base design plus the data fields or location rules that vary it).
- Confirmed values for the personalization tokens you plan to use, so the correct subscriber data is available. See Personalization tags.
- A test subscriber or two with representative data, so you can preview real output.
Steps
- Open the Edition and place your cursor where the image should appear.
- Insert the personalized image from your content or asset library, rather than uploading a static file. (Confirm the exact insert path in your account.)
- Choose what drives the image: map it to the subscriber data field(s) or select the location/time rule that should vary it.
- Set a fallback image or default text to cover subscribers who have no matching data.
- Add descriptive alt text so the image is accessible and still meaningful if it does not load.
- Preview with a test subscriber to confirm the right variant renders, then send a test Broadcast to yourself.
Result
The image resolves per subscriber when the Broadcast is opened. In preview and test sends you should see the variant that matches each test subscriber's data or context, with your fallback showing when data is missing.
