Quickstart: Send Your First Broadcast in 15 Minutes

A golden-path tutorial that takes you from creating an Edition to sending your first Broadcast and viewing early results.

What you'll build

By the end you'll have built a simple email Edition, sent it as a Broadcast to a small test audience, and watched the first opens and clicks arrive in reporting. This is the fastest end-to-end path through the platform, so keep the content light — you can refine your craft once you've seen the full loop work.

Before you begin

  • An account with permission to create Editions and send Broadcasts.
  • A small test list of subscribers you're allowed to email (your own address plus a few colleagues works well).
  • Your sending domain verified so mail authenticates cleanly (confirm the exact steps in your account).
  • A subject line and a sentence or two of body copy ready to paste.

Steps

  1. Create a Folder. Open your Project Folders and add one to hold this work, for example "Quickstart." Keeping Editions organized from the start makes them easy to find later.
  2. Create an Edition. Inside the Folder, start a new Edition and give it a clear internal name. Pick a simple starting template or a blank layout.
  3. Add your content. Set the subject line and drop in your body copy. Add a personalization token such as a first-name greeting so the message feels addressed to each subscriber (confirm the exact steps in your account).
  4. Choose your audience. Select your small test list as the recipients for this Broadcast.
  5. Preview and send a test. Preview the Edition, then send a test to yourself to check rendering, links, and the personalization token.
  6. Send the Broadcast. When it looks right, send the Edition as a Broadcast. Sending immediately is fine for this run.
  7. Watch early results. Open reporting for the Broadcast and watch opens and clicks arrive over the next few minutes.
